“How Much More?"

This song was one of the first songs where both Johnny and Mark collaborated on the lyrics together. The progressive musical composition and production going from: ‘slow and sad’ to: ‘angry and fast’ was inspired by some of the semi-progressive artists of the 1970’s: Styx, Yes, Aerosmith, Renaissance. There are also some musical influences from Journey, Boston and Pink Floyd on this song.

Mark Regula: Vocals, piano, acoustic guitars, synthesizers, bass, drums, percussion.
Tony Novarro: Electric guitars.
Produced by: Tony Novarro & Mark Regula

Lyrics: “How Much More?”

How many more nights must I spend all by myself?
I'm looking for you but you’re always somewhere else
The way you’ve treated me, it cuts me to the bone
And now I feel so insecure, so lost and all alone...

How many more times must I be a victim of your lies?
How many more tears will fall from my eyes?
Before I realize that it's not working out I tried so hard to be with you, but now I have my doubts...

How Much More can I take
Before this empty heart of mine breaks, over you?
How Much More can I stand?
You know I'm doing the best that I can, all for you...

(Guitar solo)

How many more times will I be a victim of your lies?
How many more tears will fall from these eyes?
Before I realize that it’s not working out
I’ve tried to keep it all inside but I have to let it out

I no longer want to play this game by your rules
I’m not just another name you can add to your list of fools
I tried so hard to give, and all you did was take
I should have seen through long before that this was a mistake

How Much More can I take
Before this empty heart of mine breaks, over you?
How Much More can I stand?
You know I'm doing the best that I can, all for you...

(Synthesizer & guitar solos)
