Music:

Have you ever had the heat of physical attraction overtake you and your sense of reason? “Burning” is a sultry Pop/Rock song that plays on that lyrical theme. The lyrics were inspired by a hot summer day and the lovely ladies at Jones Beach: Long Island, NY. This song features the funky bass playing of Ivan Elias who was the original bass player for Patty Smyth and Scandal, the brilliant guitar work of Tony Novarro and the expressive vocals of Mark Regula.

Lyrics: “Burning” (edited)
Words & Music by: Johnny Jace & Mark Regula

Eyes of green running deep
In the heat I see visions of you
By the pool, by the sea
You're looking hot, and you're looking at me

In the sun, on the sand
Beads of sweat fall across your tan
Through the shades can't you see
That I need your love to rescue me

And now I'm Burning with desire
And the flames are getting higher
Quench my thirst, put out the fire
I'm Burning with desire…

Every day, in the night
Through the light can't stop dreaming of you
Passion burns, heart's in flames
I need you now while I'm feeling no pain

Earth below, sky above
Open up, let me drown in your love
Through the shades can't you see
That with you I'd be in ecstasy

And now I'm Burning with desire
And the flames are getting higher
Quench my thirst, put out the fire
I'm Burning with desire…

(Musical bridge, vocal ad-lib – Guitar lead)

(Repeat Chorus)
